Iranian romantic spy series 'Vafa' joins iFilm playlist

Iranian romantic spy TV series 'Vafa' is to be premiered on February 7, 2024.

In a recent addition to iFilm playlist, the Iranian romantic spy TV series 'Vafa' is set to be premiered on February 7, 2024.

Directed by Mohammad-Hossein Latifi, the series is about Joobin, a man ensnared in a web of espionage while endeavoring to reunite with his beloved.

Joobin, having spent the last two years incarcerated in an Iranian prison for a crime he denies committing, is liberated by mysterious figures.

Fueled by a determination to reach his beloved Vafa in Lebanon, Joobin becomes the focal point of a relentless pursuit by Mohsen Khavari, a detective from Tehran's police department, who tracks him to Beirut with the intent of bringing him to justice.

As the plot thickens, Joobin understands that his uncle and late father orchestrated his escape as covert operatives for Israel.

Subsequently embroiled in a perilous game of espionage, Joobin discovers that the Israelis are manipulating him as a pawn in their pursuit to assassinate Vafa's brother.

The cast list of 'Vafa' includes Hanieh Tavassoli, Farhad Aslani, Pouriya Poursorkh, Farhad Qaemian, Mohammad-Reza Iranmanesh, and Mohsen Qazi-Moradi.

Replacing 'The Gift of Darkness', the premiere episode of 'Vafa' is scheduled for screening at 23:00 GMT.

For viewers who miss the initial broadcast, each episode will be re-aired the following day at 05:00, 11:00, and 17:00.
